I see I can get 2 iPhone 15s from Boast Mobile and free service for a year. I just need to know what the "taxes and fees' are. That drives me nuts.

Thanks for your efforts. It really like the Wild West the way SOME of these wireless companies advertise. What you posted doesnt apply to the plan I was interested in. Maybe a moot point at this time. I see the basic plan doesnt allow tethering. We find tethering useful a few times a year so it is a deal killer. More so when our top tier Verizon service through US Mobile is less money and allows tethering.

I actually (out of interest) went to through checkout on Boost Mobile. It's a GREAT deal for anyone interested. However many of these sites do not list terms and conditions for EACH special deal.

The deal I am interested in(was) is two lines 30 gb of high speed $25 each = $50 (plus taxes and fees so we can assume $56 is more like it. They also say this price if "Forever at $25 per line. I would say dont count on it being forever but you arent tied down to the plan.

We currently pay US Mobile $33 actual payment two lines but only 12gb of almost top tier data which we only go over at a reasonable cost a few times a year)

Anyway, Boost mobile $56 two lines total payment (approx), plenty of high speed data but NO tethering. Pay for the phones upfront and you get a free year of service for each line. In my case it would be a $50 credit ($25 each line) for one year. SO that is $600 for the year in credits against the upfront purchase of both phones. That being the cost of two iPhones 15s down to $404 each. Not bad for subscribing to a $25 per line (plus taxes and fees) plan.

I found the terms and conditions at the check out which is posted below. I did the entire process except enter my credit card because not having tethering kills it for us.

An example would be my wife watched an entire movie on her iPad tethered to her iPhone 13 with US Mobile service that cost us a total payment of $33 for both lines combined while in a waiting area as was undergoing a scan for my cancer treatment. We wouldnt have that option with the Boost Plan. IF that doesnt matter to someone sweet deal.

The lines cost $25 each, so every month will be a $50 credit for the first 12 months, brings down the two new iPhone 15s cost to $400 or so. Im ok with one model year older I rather have the 15 then the new 16e. The 15 better equipped.

If anyone interested go to Boost Mobile, at the top of the page click on "Deals" scroll partway down the page and select. Boost Mobile doesnt post an expiration date on the offer. We can all assume like any of these services deals change all the time.

That could be a problem since DISH/Boost depends on roaming for much of their coverage. They don't have a fully nationwide network only certain areas that T-Mobile was required to sell off (so T-Mobile would not become a monopoly in those areas) when they took over Sprint.
It would also depend on how they define "roaming" if that includes this or if it is something else entirely.

Current Boost is in name only.
Dish Network is now the 4th major carrier in the USA. As @mk378 points out as Dish Network builds out their network they do seamlessly switch you to other networks that they have agreements with where Dish doesnt have coverage yet. (my understanding)
I do know for fact that Dish has boatloads of bandwidth licenses to expand on. I believe was all part of the deal when T-Mobile sold them off.
I definitely would switch, today, if and only if they offered tethering at their 1 year free plan. AS of right now, My US Mobile with tethering at its current price of $33 two lines, actual payment, with top tier Verizon service. I would better off buying two new phones direct from APPLE and keeping US Mobile. But I am still hunting! *LOL*

They do allow 30 day trial, however if you take the phone deal I believe you will only get refunded the service. Makes sense. They cant take back used phones. Only issue for me is the $25 plan has no tethering so not worth trying.

Well, the product is 15% less cost, and it has all the basics of the more expensive product and do them all very well. So for me if you’re not someone who needs all those options it’s a product that cost $200 less. Yet will still take photographs just as good, have battery life that is longer or the same and a display that is the same.

I do not agree the older products are better as none of the older products can communicate with satellites and the older SE series display is far inferior.
With that said better is just what features we need out of a product.

As far as a tiered product based on price, that goes for almost any electronic device we buy from any company as well as automobiles. Options are good!

I was set on an iPhone 16 for sure, but this has peaked my curiosity.

It has better battery life with the new chipset. My 12 still works well for me.

The Pixel android phones sold by Google are free of any bloatware. And they now get a minimum of 7 years of updates (sent immediately when the update is released by Google...unlike other brands of Android phones where the update is delayed by a few weeks).

As for security, it is anyone's opinion as to whether Apple or Android is more secure. For what it is worth, U.S. Govt. agencies have issued both Android and Apple cell phones for official military business.

When Google updates you then have to wait for your carrier to update.

OMG, my neighbors most retired from the medical field warned me and even volunteer to drive me but I felt great the first week, actually excited, then the second week came and went I noticed it was hard to stay awake after 10pm

3rd week finished now, three weeks to go.

A year ago I bought an iPhone SE3 from Verizon for $50. The 16E at $599 and higher is overpriced IMO.

I assume you had radiation, actually, I think I might remember conversation in the other thread. How long ago was it?
It certainly is encouraging, good for you!

My radiation oncologist is very positive, says I will be free of cancer when he’s done with me. I will see the same. In the same breath though they don’t understand why my PSA was so high for the small amount of cancer that was found. So I’m being treated as grade 3 with unfavorable outcome.

If you’ve been following my thread, the good news is a PSMA scan shows absolutely nothing outside of the prostate. Yet still that high PSA pushes me in grade 3.
So I guess we’ll know more when I’m all done

There is one thing I’m curious and I don’t know the answer. Do they look for you to be at any specific PSA level once you’re done with radiation?

Due to someone in here, I switched to US mobile after I was done with my two years with T-Mobile
US mobile is amazing for the price.
T-Mobile got too greedy.The un carrier turned into a regular carrier
No longer was your price grandfathered in and they changed my payment method where I had to give them my debit card information instead of a credit card to keep getting the five dollar discount so I said goodbye after a price increase plus having to use a debit card.

Then someone in here came along with the US mobile deal, which is outstanding for our use

I only went to T-Mobile for two years because of a fantastic magenta 55 plan they gave me including two new iPhone 13s with our trade-in phones plus Netflix for free. I suspected it wouldn’t have lasted and T-Mobile made sure it didn’t.

Yes, I’m kind of feeling that way too
However, I have noticed a lot of carriers are using the 16 E with significant savings if you switch to their company

i am about ready to ditch the wife's family plan on TMobile take my XR over to another carrier a mvno that backbones off att or VZ. I will check out this US mobile. thanks
