Very interesting, I just noticed this on Apple’s website. The SE is retired.
I’m pretty sure my wife and I will get two new regular iPhone 16s to replace our iPhone 13’s sometime this year.

It seems like the next generation SE iPhone is being called 16 E
I just found this new iPhone 16 E I don’t know much about it, but it sounds like it might be a nice upgrade for iPhone SE owners
Price certainly seems right and I’m sure the capabilities way above average cell phone.

I just found this review two days old, sounds impressive at the price. I have to call into question some of this review. There are a number of labeling errors in the comparison of photos with the pixel 8 and the regular iPhone 16
Still it sounds like a very interesting and capable phone

In my opinion it's a tiered product designed to steer people to their other products. It also bolsters the resale value of their older phones which are better products. However, there's no doubt this will be the go to corporate work phone for many businesses.

Well, the product is 15% less cost, and it has all the basics of the more expensive product and do them all very well. So for me if you’re not someone who needs all those options it’s a product that cost $200 less. Yet will still take photographs just as good, have battery life that is longer or the same and a display that is the same.

I do not agree the older products are better as none of the older products can communicate with satellites and the older SE series display is far inferior.
With that said better is just what features we need out of a product.

As far as a tiered product based on price, that goes for almost any electronic device we buy from any company as well as automobiles. Options are good!

I was set on an iPhone 16 for sure, but this has peaked my curiosity.

I don't think it's as bad as people say. You are getting the best battery life out of any normal sized iPhone according to what they say and you are getting the same software support since it has the same processor and memory and not something lesser/older but at a lower price. Apparently the screen quality is "worse" but I don't see how. It's best to just ignore the alarmist malarkey, someone will always complain.

I never used the extra cameras on my pixel and I like the 6.1 inch screen. If I was buying an iPhone I'd buy this one and it's not about the price. It has the best battery life and I don't care about everything else. Don't care for the fancy screen hole, don't care for the magnets people are apparently fuming over though I don't see why, and I don't care for the extra camera.

I agree for me too. It’s not about the price as far as what options I truly use. I find it appealing that this model communicates with satellites at this price. I think it’s very good deal
I love taking photographs and I to find myself not needing extra cameras built into the phone I think

no magsafe no dynamic island one less processor core. Yes a nice update-upgrade from the se but disappointing at the price bump to 599. I am interested to see how apples new in house modem chipset will turn out.

I'm sure the modem will work fine but it doesn't support precision tracking for 'Find My' and doesn't support mmWave. Pretty crazy that you spend $600 and they won't give you a cheap magnet for their own accessory, attachment and charging standard and won't help you find your lost items after you spent money on airtags or apple accessories.

I was in an apple store over the weekend and they were pushing this pretty hard. I feel like its been on the website for well over a week, i knew all about it before i went in.

Ended up with mostly 16Pros for the family with one pro max and one 16 plus mixed in. I feel like the lack of a larger one my hurt sales.

IMO the lack of MagSafe charging (which has a higher capacity the QI) and the camera are unacceptable give ups for 200 bucks. but they will probably sell a lot of them.

It’s personal preference i had trouble with the nfc/contactless payments working on my 13 finally got fed up and traded it in for a galaxy phone at Best Buy that lasted 2 days. I brought the galaxy back took a store credit and couldn’t be happier back on my xr. I been on iOS since 2015 I can’t wrap my head around android os.
