his great resources are about 15 years too old and about 35% off.

This is true info. Most yards do not warranty an used Powerstoke from an auto salvage yard due to the miles on them.

no no i was refering to the ford owning cummins misinformation.

as for the used powerstroke warranty thing, sure why not, i dont deal in used parts.

The king of anecdotal nonsense.
(mine has 201502 guess I should park it eh?)

The 7.3's ROUTINELY go FAR more than 200,000 miles, just search the diesel UOA section on here.

Or maybe slammds15 will chime in with his REAL WORLD experience with these engines and give us an extensive list!

Here's 370,000 miles:

Here's 294,444 miles:

Here's 342,000 miles: (and 230,000 miles on his other one)

In regards to the Ford Cummins thing:

1. I posted a link earlier to when Ford purchased their original shares in Cummins giving them a 10.8% stake in the company.

2. Here is a link to a 1997 document, showing Cummins BUYING BACK 1,300,000 shares, leaving Ford with 4.8%. http://www.secinfo.com/d1533.8e.htm

IIRC, Dualie has a couple 7.3s with ~250,000 miles.

A properly maintained 7.3 toasted at less than 200,000 is the odd duck, to be sure.

Where the heck did wafrederick1 come from? Dude I don't think you have posted ONE true thing on this whole board??? Sometimes I think you have to just be stirring the pot as NO ONE can actually think and believe the stuff you post.

Staring back at me are now a 310,000 mile 2002 excursion and a 350,000 Mile 2000 F-350. MY F-350 has worked harder pound for pound day in and out than my T-800 Kenworth heavy haul. going through my records the truck has laid down 98,000 miles pulling my big six horse gooseneck. The scale tag for the truck and the trailer say the combined is 27,975Lbs. Every trip out I have to cross a mountain range eventually no matter which way I go.

I didn't hear this from my dad, The jasper guy didn't tell me, These are hard fast FACTS.

NO killer dowel pin NO Bad lift pumps just MILES under its belt.

IF you want to actually bash an IH diesel you can go around saying that the 7.3L IDI was a 200,000 mile engine. that I will buy. I have two that are in or near that mark that are on borrowed time.
