So a friend from work sent out a blanket e-mail to everybody about his wife's brother (or some form of similar relation) opening a new butcher shop in town. He's from Toronto and ran the same style of business up there.
GOOD GOD
The meat.... It is incredible. There is no other word. Cooked my first sirloin steak from there on the BBQ last week with nothing more than a light Dianna sauce marinade and it melted in my mouth, it was literally the best steak I've ever had.
All the meat is locally sourced in Ontario.
Cooked up a set of Oktoberfest sausages from there tonight and again, the best sausages I've ever had.
Prices aren't bad, but he has some expensive meats in there, stuff that is $20+/lb.
Rand: When you are up here again, I'm going to get us some of his steak so that you can experience this.
