As the title states , what (if any) new CLP’s or Lubes are you considering to try using with your firearms ? Clenzoil and G96 Synthrtic Oil are on my short list .

I know this probably isn't very helpful, but I tend to stick with what works so don't stray too far. Break Free for more years than I can count. It's one part of my untrasonic cleaning solution as well. I did get curious a while back and tried some Ballistol. Added a can to my supply for the ones that have a lot of polymer on them. It seems easier on it than the BF. Plus it smells great.

Out of the two you bring up, Clenzoil smells nice. My favorite oil is Ballistol though. Good old motor oil works great too.

I've been a fan of this for a while.

And I use these for application, from Hobby Lobby.

There have been some really solid CLP type cleaners come to market over the last decade. I've used a good number but my mainstay remains BreakFree. It works and workes well and purchased by the gallon from Amazon its also on the lower end of overall costs.

General cleaner is BreakFree CLP
5-30 Synthetic oil and Valvoline synthetic grease take care of 95% of my armory's lube needs.
WipeOut cleaner for deep cleaning and de-coppering barrels when needed.

Edit to add: The only product that truly impressed me lately has been Enos Slide Glide. Great for Sig P series and/or higher end 1911's. That said, 5-30 synthetic oil works **** well also.

I've had good luck with BreakFree CLP over the last 20ish years so I'll just stick with that product. Unless someone gives me some Frog Lube then I might try that. ;-)

Skip the Frog Lube. The retired SEALs I know (one of whom builds guns, and is an FFL for a living) say to stay away from it. That’s all the endorsement I need.

The reason is plant based lubes can gum up during long first storage . Same goes for Ballistol too as I had a small clear bottle of it separate and get gummy . The key with Frog Lube , Ballistol , etc. is to not apply thick and wipe down firearms completely leaving a thin film . For rails , sears and connectors - I’m using a good synthetic firearms lube .

Stinks (chokes me up), doesn't clean well, and doesn't lube well. And it gums up in the bottle after a year or so when most gun lubes last years. I am unsure the appeal of this product, but if it works for you, then OK.
I don’t mind the smell, and the 15+ year old bottle I have is still good. I use it on wood stock guns for a wipe down, where other lubes would adversely affect the wood if I am not careful. I don’t use it for cleaning, or even lube, per se, but I do use it for preserving.

I also wipe down my axes with Ballistol periodically. Won’t hurt the leather sheath or the handle. I have mentioned before that I have a couple of pretty nice axes - so they’re worth maintaining.

For the past year or so I have been using a mix of Mobil1 10w30 and Synthetic grease. I mix it just thick enough that it doesn't run off.
It's almost a gel. It's been great so far. It has very good lubricating properties, and cleaning my guns after a range trip has been a breeze.

that is all my 1911 smith uses and recommends. Slides run smooth as butter. I apply with plastic tooth pick.
When you say “Smith”, do you mean gunsmith?

Or do you mean “Smith & Wesson”?

I ask because I have a Smith & Wesson 1911, and I don’t remember anything in the literature about a particular lubricant.

Which synthetic grease?

There’s so many choices, do you mean the Mobil One synthetic grease?
