You may have seen a recent project farm video that shows clenzoil pretty handily beating others as far as lubricity. I’ve used ballistol for many years, and I really enjoy cleaning my guns. Maybe more than shooting them.
I know all about “over cleaning” but cleaning is an extremely enjoyable part of the hobby for me including trying out new cleaners and lubes. I picked up some clenzoil, seems to work fine, but it’s extremely hard to clean off my skin. I also notice it sets off my voc meters in the entire house for a solid 8 hours. Just curious, how bad is this stuff for direct skin contact? What clp do you use?
I refuse to wear gloves, would rather go back to ballistol. I also precision oil/grease mating points and don’t rely purely on clp for lube. I primarily shoot o/u, a few hundred rounds a month. With various handguns and rifles scattered in. No black powder.
