need oil reccomendation

Ok, time to change on both vehicles.
Car#1
1994 ford f150 svt lightning with 111k miles

Car#2
1997 saturn aura 3.5l
Currently running 5w30 castrol edge
Please help me convince my gf that 3000mi on syn oil is [censored]! She is looking at the oil life monitor and doesn't get that it's for regular oil!

At 3k I'd use Supertech or Quaker State Dino. Save yourself some money.
 
Motorcraft is probably the best priced semi synthetic out there as for the girlfriend the olm is for dino on the saturn you can easily go 5000 miles or 6 months whatever comes first on most sm rated oils but if it is under warrantee you should abide by their rules just in case...3000 mile oil changes are not needed and are a waste

Well, a 1997 Aura is a very rare car. It's deserving of a top quality motor oil.

Oh, I get it. It must be an 07. It's ok to follow the olm.

You could use the new Amsoil XL oils in both. Or even less costly, after Nov 1 take a look at the new Amsoil OE oils. Not funny at all.
