Neat thread on CVTs

Has many of you allnnow I got 365,500 miles out of my 2008 Nissan 2 door coupe with a CVT. I didn’t change the fluid until I had 283,500 miles. I didn’t change that fluid 7 times until that 365,500 mile mark.

And the Eneos Eco CVT fluid really did quiet my CVT down a lot… Even my lady noticed the difference. And I drove that car hard too… Every day it saw 5 to 5,700 rpm after it had warmed up a bit.

Nice! You certainly got lucky, especially with the notorious nissan CVT's!

If I get 400,000 Mi out of the original CVT I'm completely happy. If I get 500,000 miles out of it, I'm probably going to try to see if I can't have somebody custom make me a transmission cooler
