Probably in hindsight it was poor business timing for them to run a big sale on this right as it hit the fan in the middle east.
At Costco? Or in the wild?I've never seen 5w20...
They finked out in the last couple days of the sale, said none was available in my zip code.Probably in hindsight it was poor business timing for them to run a big sale on this right as it hit the fan in the middle east.
Us hoarders though, we made out pretty good![]()

I think that's the normal price. I paid $29.99 on sale for a two-pack in my warehouse. But you could get a 4-pack online for $53.99 so I bought one of those right after! Is $35.99 the sale price or the regular price?
Fords use it.I've never seen 5w20...

At Costco. I service 2 2008 CR-Vs that use 5w20. I would never cheat and put 5w30 just because I have it on the shelf...Fords use it.
I'm originally from the Midwest where seemingly everyone drives an F150. When Speedway stations (Marathon) started carrying their own branded 5w-20, you knew it was mainstream.Fords use it.
And Honda going back to the early 00's.Fords use it.

Interesting you bring this up I had a 2014 Chevy Spark which was factory filled with and printed on the oil cap 5W20. I was using a CAM2 Synthetic at the time I just can't remember if this was a Dexos oil, based on a Google search there's mentioning the 2014 Spark was a Dexos recipient. Must have been this product line at the time but was purchased in 1Qt bottles. Cost cruncher 0W20 phased out the 5W20 Dexos cert at least from Mobil's standpoint.Other more informed BITOG'ers may chime in, however I don't think any 5W-20 has ever had a dexos1Gen2 or Gen3 certification. Maybe a Gen1.
