Yes, if he has more money - HPL or Amsoil. However, they are not Dexos oils either.

I just started thinking that if an oio is not Dexos approved, that's actually a good thing.
Also GM mentioning only Dexos oils in their owner manuals, but not mentioning API, ILSAC, and ACEA - some kind of scam is going on.

Dexos is a GM specification. Many other automobile manufacturers such as VW, Mercedes, Porsche, BMW to name a few have their own specification.

They don't charge oil companies per gallon of oil sold, and their approval is a few thousand Euros vs the lifetime charges GM charges companies for Dexos certifications.
