My CAF

Car is 2003 !echo!. Initially pulled out the CAF revealing the filter (on the box); could not install the carriage back in the housing since the large blob of thread and fur now obstructed the install. Since it was darkening out, I had to drag out the drop light and see what's up, and pulled the hair ball out with a 12" phillips s.d.

Even the simplest jobs can not go as planned.

It has been < 1 year since I inspected it.

It's an old hypermiler trick. It inhibits air getting snagged by the cabin.

That's terrible. Ours was black nearly when we replaced it in '06. I think it will be time to change it again soon...

You must have very poor air quality. Wonder what's in your lungs.

Ours you can smell the dirt from the pleats.

I'm going to check into replacing it soon as possible.
