Havoline in the Advanced Autos around here is GONE. I bought a couple of cases of 5W20 for the sake of posterity the other day, thought I'd grab another or a few bottles if that's all they had, and all of it was gone in three of the AA's I've been into the last couple of days. ALL of it, the 10W30, 10W40, even the 20W50SL was tapped out. No gallons, no quarts..

An era has passed..

hmmm, I called a few AAP's near me (Manassas) the other day to check if they were clearancing the old in anticipation of the new formlua, and they all said they have 3+ cases in stock (no deep discounts yet - sitting at $1.55/qt). I'm gonna pick up a case tomorrow

Very possible there'll be a minor supply disruption as distribution shifts.

Hopefully they'll bring chevron supreme back to markets like the northeast as a very good yet "bargain" oil... tiering things like SOPUS with their pennz/qs/shell lineup.

I think Triple7 is right. I was over at one of the Manassas AA's on 234 and it was out of 5W20 and 5W30. They had a few stray 10W40, 20W50 and that was about it..

Nope, Al, they're bring in the NEW! IMPROVED! Havoline. Rumor is, 2.59-3.00/quart.

FYI: during AA's Redline clearout 2 years ago, you could actually order Redline for store delivery because it was sitting in an AA warehouse somewhere, and you still got the clearance price. They were trying to get all of it our of inventory. You can always ask them to check other store's inventory and have them hold it for you. I did that and picked up 4 cases.

On 12/14/06 the AA in Belton,SC had one quart of 10-40 for $1.55 a quart but they had several of the 4 quart containers for $5.97, which is $1.49 per quart. I stocked up.

I just got back from the AAP store on 234 across from Manassas mall and scored two cases of Havo 5w-20 (none on the shelves, cases were tucked away in the back - I took all they had)
