Tesla says the Cybertruck bed is Technically 6'1" but that's for an item up to 4" tall. Jalopnik had a really interesting article about it. If your cargo is 30 inches tall or taller then you only have 4'11" if it's to fit behind the tailgate.
The number I saw quoted was 5.5, but otherwise said the same thing.
don't besmirch the Aztec like that.. it was honestly a good car. not saying the looks were for everyone, but other than that it was a good car...basically a GM Minivan of the era. had all the usual 3400 v6 issues, but those weren't really a big deal..
That's part of it, the other issue is the pure number of recalls and buy backs. I'd be curious to know how many buy backs or Lemons Tesla has taken on the Cybertruck? Then apparently Tesla has started "Accepting " or taking Cybertrucks in on trade and well owners are really ticked off. Remember initially the Cybertruck was 100k but shortly after Tesla raised it to $120k after the Cyberbeast debuted. Tyler Hoover said six months after he bought his nobody wanted to take it in on trade. Givemethevin bought ten and I think lost money on them. One place offered him $111k but he had to buy another vehicle so he took home a 1-year-old Cadillac Lyric. In February of this year a few Cybertruck owners were offered $71k from Car Max but not a Penny more. A cyberbeast owner was offered $78,200 with 8,600 miles and eight months of ownership that he paid $128,000 out the door. Other founders edition owners have been offered as little as $63, for a 2024. Rivian has higher than average resale value as most vehicles have 30% depreciation after a year Rivian has only 28% after two years.

I'm on my 2nd Tesla. I was an early adopter with the '18 Model 3 Mid Range and now I drive a '24 M3P.
Hasn't Freemont become a really expensive place to live now that Tesla and others have gone in? It's definitely good to go in and employ alot of people but if the cost of living is sky high it doesn't help.Then add in the Teslas Fremont plant has repeatedly had a higher workplace accident rate then other comparable auto manufacturing plants. Since 2019 they've been cited for 110 air quality violations, if so why is Tesla given a fine here and there then told not to do it again? It doesn't sound like a great place to work. In 2018 Tesla was caught leaving accidents off workplace records to make it look like they had better safety than they do, not that other plants haven't done this. Denver is getting like that, from reports last year $26-$27 per hour is now the poverty line in alot of Colorado.
Fremont has been an expensive place to live for a long time. When NUMMI shuttered, the local economy suffered. Homes were lost, restaurants lost business, you name it. Musk knew there was a Toyota trained quality workforce there; he put out a 2 page ad in the SJ Merc encouraging ex-NUMMI employees to apply.
Musk claims he wants the best but when you have someone or a computer in Texas looking at resumes it seems to be bias almostlike you need to know someoneat Tesla. I have over 10 years of automotive detailing experience, plus customer service, car sales and lot manager. A local Tesla detail and body shop near me is always posting an opening ever 4-6 months for a detailing employee or entry level body shop apprentice. I've never had an interview or someone reach out. The receptionist told me "Uh Tesla is different and kind of a pain for the hiring process " while rolling her eyes. This says alot.
I don't particularly like musk nor Tesla as I wasn't impressed with their customer service nor their service center in Colorado, but I'm not going to throw soda at one or key one.Not trying to make this political, but it seems Musk's newest tactics have gotten a reaction from previous supporters. I had nasty words said to me in traffic while driving home today. My wife on the other hand had this happen caught on Sentry this morning. Just so childish. The politics get old.
