Stumbled across this by accident. The data sheet claims it is safe for unleaded gas and cat converters. The TBN looks pretty good and the VI is outstanding (the older PDS I found showed it was lower before). No HTHS but I would be surprised if it were anywhere below 3.6 -- never seen a single Xw40 with HTHS < 3.6. Most are 3.6-3.8, with some of the boutique oils being as high as 4.5. Motul's own 300V 5w40 is 4.51.
SJ is curious. What has changed since SJ? I know ZDDP has dropped in SM and SN.
Group V oil, and about $9/qt. Motul Xmax 0w40 is the other 0w40 but it is not a group V. I have run their moto 300V oils in my car with very good results.
