Pretty sure that the ones calling for 0w-40 do not use the MDS. (Mine doesn't have it.)

All the SRT's with MDS call for 0w-40.

Mine activates pretty quickly too, on both vehicles. It's more aggressive on the truck though.

MDS doesn't activate when cold.

Mine starts working within about 3 minutes of start up.

Manual equipped HEMI’s do not have MDS, the torque shock as it goes into and out of MDS would be unpleasant without an unlocked torque converter to absorb it.

I’ve been driving around with tow/haul enabled, I seem to get better fuel economy and it doesn’t cycle in and out of MDS as often.
