Colt45ws: how come you think the fuel dilution is higher than what blackstone reported? and why do you think 5-30 when my results mirror so close to the other ecoboost Uoa with 5-20?

Because the flashpoint is 340F which is really low. What are they showing for the "Should be" number? 365F? The way they calculate fuel is take that number and every 20F below that is 1% fuel. Ive seen them put the should be number as anywhere from 355-400F without any obvious reason.. What I do is go by 400F as a baseline and use the same math Blackstone does. So 400-340=60/20=3%. This is just a guess. If you want to know what Fuel really is you will have to use another lab that tests fuel directly.

On another subject...I was begining to lean towards MC full syn 5-30...Ford shows lower numbers in viscosity test 60 to 65 in cst@40c, 10.5 to 10.8 in cst@100c, 166 to 163 in viscosity index, and flashpoint of 455 to 402, compared to MC semi syn 5-30....I wonder if this higher flashpoint would hold up better to fuel dilution?....but would the lower viscosity numbers break the oil down quicker?....any thoughts are appreciated!!!
