Motor-craft filter for ram 5.7 Hemi ?

Which Motor-craft oil filter will fit my Ram 1500 classic 5.7? I’d like to use a base end bypass valve if possible.

Go to RockAuto, put in your vehicle and see what filters pop-up. Once we know some of the filters that engine takes, then someone will know which Motorcraft will fit, if there is one.

FL-820S. It will be a bit snug, as it's the same as the larger 6.4L/6.2L filter (original RAM 5.7L filter before the downsize) but it usually fits.

You are quite welcome. I'm running the AMSOIL equivalent on the RAM in my signature, and the FRAM Ultra equivalent, the XG2, on my SRT.

Did the last time I checked. It was the original filter that was being pimped as having it, LOL, because it was the Modular filter.

According to parts catalog a PH 48 or PH 820 are the two correct filter options for a 5.7 HEMI

Motorcraft FL-500S will fit. It's the same diameter as the PF48 / ph10060 but is taller.
The XG10575 is the same size as the FL-500s

The Mopar MO-899 also has the base end bypass but has a nitrile ADBV. That’s if you can use the bigger filter.

I have 5.7 hemi and use Motorcraft FL500s.

If the 500 will fit it would be a better pick. The 820’s have largely been a poster child for “blech!” on here.
