SS1970Chrysler, I'm not sure but after following your Grananda commute adventures I'm fondly remembering my '66 Mustang again. Wonder how fun it would be to work on and drive a similar car today?

That old Buick was and is my most fun car I've ever drove. It's everything I grew up expecting a good car to be and is the benchmark by which I judge all other cars.
The thing to remember about older cars is people made it to work back when the cars were new.

My 71 Datsun 240Z which I bought in 1975 and still own. Used to autocross it on weekends, but now its only driven gently on a few warm sunny days. Never driven in the winter so its still rust free.

Now that I've got the Jeep running with the new heads and cam, it's gone from kinda fun, to "I can't keep my foot out of it". It's somewhere right around 6 seconds 0-60 (haven't timed it yet), and should be a little better once I get a bigger throttle body on it to un-choke the high RPMs.

Hearing the big V8 wind up to 5400 (will be bumped up to 5600 or so with the new TB) at WOT is pretty sweet, and it scoots along quite nicely for a box on wheels. Plus, being tall, it's got a good bit of weight transfer, so the launch traction isn't even terrible, despite having non-sticky A/Ts on it.

1st gear and WOT is now useless in the rain though, it'll spin the tires on a WOT kickdown at 35

Sunbeam Tiger! The car on "Get Smart".

A cool car, but Sunbeam wasn't given high marks for handling or braking even without a Ford V8 stuffed in.

Yes! We had a 351 in it. OMG 130 MPH easy!

Mine is probably my 70 Monte Carlo with a 396 big block. It has good power and gets the looks. Second would have to be my Supercharged 2004 Monte Carlo SS Dale Jr. edition because it also has some power and it is more refined while driving. I also get many comments from people about this car.
