With enough electric cars on the grid using real time price info, the market can sustain a much bigger fraction of wind energy. If its windy during the day, the power can offset the use of expensive natural gas peaking plants. If it's windy at night, the cars can soak it up.

In Belgium, they consider the electricity producing windmill farms tourist attractions. I don't know if anyone considers them a tourist attraction in the US but some NIMBY type people in New England think they are blight.

we signed an agreement with saudi arabia and other oil bearing countries since the 1960's that IF we buy oil from them (strictly) a portion of their profits goes to our debts.(btw the legal note of the U.S. is the currency of choice) so in essence the more oil we buy the more they have to pay to our debts. you can also thank the middle man of this whole oil scheme--- the world bank / IMF... they are making much more than oil companies and you will NEVER hear about it!! they are the backbone of most of the world's financial status. btw the countries that didnt sign this agreeemnt are iran, iraq and chavez's Venezuala... where are we at with iraq again? oh yeah! now you get it... lost revenue (better yet debt payments) for the US.. its all buisness.. aint greed a biotch? the value or our dollar will fall to [censored] if they quit paying our debts! thats why you wont see us anytime in the near future quit buying from the middle east..if we tap into alaska the value of our dollar with fall dramatically..

take for instance brazil.. brazil borrowed billions of dollars from the world bank and in collateral they used the Amazon river basin bc of its value to the world.. well brazil couldnt afford to make the payments and wanted another "loan" just to pay the interests on it. well in short term they had to give over to the world bank the amazon river basin land! so in reality brazil does not own the amazon anymore. crazy stuff huh?
