The base plate number's on the Mopar M0-090 Oil filter are 16,4,and 3. Those number match up to the base plate number's on the Purolator Premium Plus line of oil filters. I guess Mopar finally switch to useing a way better filter then those cheap Frams.

These Mopar filter are at your local Wally world for $4.95, or the local dealer for $6.85. Just wanted to pass this info along !!

What you're seeing in the numbers is ...in adaptive view... 3/4-16. The thread size and pitch.

I think you are right that Purolator is the manufacturer, but these have a threaded bypass, instead of the dome bypass present in the Premium Plus. These look to be closer to the Motorcraft design (also by Purolator) than the Purolator branded filters. Seems to be a well contructed filter, and I just scored a few at $2.00 on closeout at Wally's to keep the Jeep happy....

I call Purolator today, to make sure if they did make that filter. And the guy I talked to on the filter hotline say's that they do. At least that's one less filter that fram no longer makes for Mopar.

The stamping of the thread pitch on the base plate is what Purolator does for the MotorCraft filters too. So I guess the Mopar is a rebadged MotorCraft ..which is a custom clone of a Purolator. I don't believe that Purolator puts the thread pitch on their offerings.
