Mopar filters= Fram

Is it true the mopar filters are manufactured by Fram? If so which version (for a 4.7L V8 jeep) is the mopar filter I know fram is the worst and i would never use fram.

Mopar filters have been made by fram in the past, the Mopar filter that came factory on my 04 SRT4 was a fram. AFAIK right now they are being made by either Champion or Purolator or both.

I really think it depends on the part number. I used to always run the 5281090 (PH 16, 14670) and it was always a Purolator. Might as well pick up the Purolator Premium Plus, it is the exact same filter.

The MO-90 I use on my Chrysler that is sold at Wal-Mart is made by Champion.

As soon as the Jeep dealer gets a filter for my 2009 Grand Cherokee he will be changing the one that came from the factory on it. I'll cut it to see what is inside.
