I can definitely build a 640 hp 496 for much less than 20,000 plus. Not as cool as a Hellephant but it will have to do.

I was lucky enough to get in the pits and watch a crew rebuild one of these engines...that was impressive!

I'm running a bit more power in my Viper with forced induction. I also strengthened the TR6060 trans to cope. So far so good.
I believe G Force makes a trans called the GF 3650 that's rated for a thousand hp and a thousand lbs ft.
