I thought this significant enough to warrant its own thread...
With big thanks to board member "ScottinWI," who discovered this filter due to some creative sleuthing through the Baldwin website, a monster Peugeot-application filter with a 20mm x 1.5mm thread, anti-drainback, and 14 psi bypass was discovered. Turns out this somewhat oversized puppy has 476 sq in of media! That's anywhere from two to six times that of other commonly used Honda filters. It's the Baldwin B7042, although the Baldwin B202 appears similar except with 20 psi bypass.
The one issue is the gasket, which is about 0.25" larger in both ID and OD than OEM filters. Hopefully some Hondaheads can confirm whether this works for various Hondas' filter landings. The gory details can be found in the bottom half of the thread below. Thanks again to Scott.
