I've been looking for about 3 hours now for the spec's on Mobiltrans SHC-DC, some say that Mobil’s delvac 50w is the closest to a replacement since Mobil stopped producing it, but I want to see it for myself (and I’m sure a few others do also) I'm looking for the basic info:

SAE Grade
cSt@40
cSt@100
Viscosity Index
Pour point

I have found specs for SHC 75/90 without “dc” at the end if that even makes a difference or not, and the closest replacements it is:
Delvac 50w
Schaeffer’s 742
Schaeffer’s 293
I’m also considering Schaffer’s Superlube in SAE 30
I know there have been several discussions on what fluid is best for the G-56 in the dodge rams but have yet to find a definitive answer. So I’m attempting to find something as close to the SHC-DC that is available. I also have yet to find out if dodge used different syncros in the g56, which I don’t think they did. I personally don’t care about drivability to an extent, what I do care about is getting this transmissions gears the proper protection they need.

Have you considered or tried a purpose-built lube like Amsoil MTF or Redline MTL? These are already a step up in viscosity and protection from the recommended ATF. Are these gearboxes failing early due to the use of ATF?

Best way I have found to get correct or compatible lube from Schaeffers is to call or email technical dept.

Amsoil MTF is a 5w30 equivalent. A75w-90 would be next step up.
Redline has one in between.

The key factors are:
viscosity
GL4 spec
As far as availability and your location, I'd use Redline MT85 (75W85) in your location.
I used Delvac synthetic transmission fluid 50 in my Unimog in Australia recently. MB calls for 75W85 synthetic but the US owners' manual calls for the Delvac, undoubtedly due to availability issues.
Back in Alaska I'm going to put in a mix of 8 qt MTL and 6 qt left over Delvac 50, making a heavy ish 75W85.
MB's operating fluid guide calls for 75W90 or 80W90 for the G56.
