Went to Belle tire today for a new tire and while I was there had them change my oil. 21 Escape 150,000 miles every oil change so far has been ford dealer 5w20 blend at 5,000 miles. I drive all freeway daily for work. Today they put in Mobil special 5w30. Should I be worried and why would they make the next service sticker for 3,000 miles? Not sure if i should be worried about the brand or the weight? Any opinions? Thanks guys.

Quick lube places would put a 1 mile service interval on the sticker if they thought their customers would fall for it. The oil they used will work perfectly fine. I'd probably ignore the 3k interval though.
+1

The quick lube in the next town over puts 3000 mile stickers on everything. Doesn't matter if you bought the conventional oil, the synthetic, or the euro synthetic. Extended OCIs aren't in the best interest of their business.

Saw it today at a gas station.

$12.59…

Holy frieking cow…

Hell I saw it at a truck stop near Ashland Va and it was actually $3.59 a quart… Granted that was in 2017-18 time frame.

It does look like those are Canadian prices given his location...
Still, $9.33/qt in freedollars. Keep an extra qt in the trunk, folks! At least they have actual branded oil available if you need it, versus 'oil?' in plain qt bottles, with handwritten labels for $8/qt. Haha

Ya first thing I noticed lol !!! wages must be VERY nice in Canada?? lol

I've read that some of our friendly Canadian neighbors are sometimes privileged to cross the border and stock up on our oil goodness ;)
