I didn't realize redline sells grease. It looks like really good stuff based on the published specs and astm test results. Next time I need wheel bearing grease I'll probably buy it!

Right, but I would only use red grease, I would never never never use black all purpose grease

Whats wrong with all purpose grease if its NLGI spec? Red is just a color additive for identification.

The NLGI number is only a viscosity range, not a quality rating and color doesn't mean anything from brand to brand.

I'm not sure if CarbonToast is trying to be humorous about grease colors or maybe he doesn't want to use a moly grease for everything?

I agree the color is meaningless. You should like at the specs.

I like Mobil 1 products, but their grease will consistently leak from my grease gun. Valvoline synpower does not.

Yes, it liquidizes, not ideal for a thick grease film area
