Mobil Full Synthetic?

Nope.

It’s their discount/bargain level synthetic.

I have 12 quarts of it in the garage that I got on sale from Amazon (thanks to the sale section here on BITOG). I'll use it with no worries in the Ecoboost Explorer.

But yeah, as previous posters said, it's the lower-tier to mobil 1.

It's Exxon-Mobil's answer to Pennzoil Black Label Synthetic and Castrol GTX Synthetic.
Valvoline is not participating in any entry-level Synthetic...... yet.... outside of NAPA. But that product is not priced well daily, unless you find it on a Monthly Sales ad/flyer.

If members here shop at independent, localized autopart stores, they may find an 'everyday' entry level priced oil there named Wolfs Head. Another is Cam II

Seems all M1 FS 5qt jugs are priced the same if in stock at my Walmart here in Michigan. 0W40 for the older beemer and 0W30 ESP for the nearly new Merc. Noticed they are starting to sell the 12 qt baggy containers I don't care for, although may be a better per qt price.

We need to ask, will the oil allow your engine bar poor manufacturing quality or design and proper maintenance to outlast the chassis?

Careful, I basically posed the same question a couple days ago and was asked why I'm even on this forum then...

Ya I can get this stuff from my supplier for $19 each jug for the syn and $14 for the super 5000 blend (My everyday price :)
And Its my suppliers #1 seller !!!! With all these crazy heat waves they can barley keep the 10W-30 and 10W-40 in stock!!! Pallets sell FAST!!!! I just focus on the good stuff from them for my personal stash Redline, Chevron Havoline and sometimes Castrol ;)

Currently:
Mobil Full Synthetic comes in 0W20, 5W-20, 5W30
Mobil Super 5000 blend comes in 5W-20, 5W30, 10W-30 and 10W-40

And FYI, The Mobil Full Synthetic 0W-20 and 5w30 >IS< Dexos 1 gen3 approved so it MUST be a good oil to meet that certification???

Anyone remember when Autozone cleared this out back in 2021??? $2 a qt and $10 for the jugs of Full Syn??? I was out of the country and missed out just barley got a few cases of it :(

Remember this use to be called Mobil Super Synthetic, but was changed to Mobil Full Synthetic and now Dexos Approved (y)

Seems in my area only retail locations Dollar General/Farm stores carry it and Amazon

I deal with a wholesaler and can get the full syn $19 a 5qt jug (everyday price)

XOM makes a killing off M1 oils; don’t understand why they don’t price this aggressively to undercut all budget syns and take more of the market. Also, more people to ‘move up’ to M1 then.
They could probably easily sell this for under $20/5quart and still make $$…

Please explain, with facts please.
Look at thousands of UOA's and you will see that Mobil 1 does NOT out perform SuperTech syn. So why would Mobil (non-1) Synthetic be better than WallyWorld Syn. Or are you saying Mobil Syn is better than Mobil1? If so Prove It.

How are you determining that from UOA's? The tool cannot be used for that purpose Al, and you know that.

Please post your UOA data so we can all review together. Preferably by brand, weight, equipment type. Surely as a mechanical engineer and fleet manager you have your results/data consolidated in a program for quick review. Prove it.
