Usually I do change my own oil using Mobil 1 0W40 European Formula and have had great results with my 02 C240. Today I was in a dire need of an oil change (1300 km overdue) from the regular FSS recommendation of 8,000 km interval, and didn't have the time to do it myself or go into my regular indy shop.
I called upon the new Mobil 1 Quick Lube and drove up and requested the Mobil 1 0W40, I was impressed the service center manager knew how much oil to put in and the correct o rings on the filter and such. They filled up and I drove away with no problem. Now that I am at home i recall seeing them fill up with bigger container (usually the 0W40 comes in the 1 L) and had the sudden flashback to seeing delvac written on the box they walked by with. I think they might have filled my car with Mobil 1 Delvac 0W40, after doing some research it is a heavy duty diesel oil that has API certification. for gas and mixed fleet use.
Will this cause major issues or should i go back up to the center tomorrow and demand they change over my oil again ?
