Sounds more like the paper I read last year which indicated that Mobil had developed a series of PAO's blends of varying viscosites that were more shear stable, and the addition of the newly developed TME ester that increased oxidation stability and friction reduction.

My thoughts are that the M1-R only shares the 0w-30 with the OTC Supersyn and the entire formula is a completely different animal as the quoted post suggests it could be .

This oil could be the ticket for hi-revving Honda S2000 engine + other hard driven and turbo charged motors and @ $6.16 per quart it hardly breaks the bank compared to some other oils out there .

Has anyone else placed this stuff in their engine yet ?

RE: "has anyone put it in an engine yet?" In an early post I indicated that I had put Mobil 1R in my Toyota Sequoia, Chevrolet Corvette C-5, Cadillac Seville, Suzuki Aerio, Briggs & Strattan generator, Briggs & Strattan 11 horse lawn tractor, 15 Robyn pump motors, Chevy Blazer, Lexus/Toyota GTP engine, 6 liter Chevrolet GTP engine. Used oil analysis have been run on most of the engines; as each engine has had only one oil analysis result, too soon to talk about any wear trends. However, in several cases, small measurable increases in fuel mileage were documented. In the Sequoia, a noticeable decrease in startup valve tap and slight, but notceable, increase in performance.

And yes, I sell Mobil 1R but am sharing all I know/have experienced with the oil to date as objectively as I can..... I am fairly certain that I have used Mobil 1R in more vehicles than anyone outside Mobil....

Have you posted any of those here? If not, are you willing to share your data?

Definitely. If I had an Acura RSX-S, I'd probably use this oil. For those that want to increase the levels of ZDDP, throw a quart or two in with the regular M1 and you'll be good to go.

I got 6 from AVLubes and it was as you say, between $8.50 and $9.00 per quart with shipping. What's worse, I need about 6 3/4 quarts to do a change so I ended up using a partial quart of common M1 0W-30...

I hope this oil comes to Australia. Probably not for another 3 years I think... SuperSyn took a while to get here.
