Mobil 1 Extended Performance filter question..

Is the Mobil 1 Extended Performance filter and the Amsoil eao similiar in quality and flow rate? I've used the EAO but looking for a shelf stocked filter.

No...

The EAO is a fully synthetic wire backed media,the Mobil 1 is a syn/cellulose blend,the EAO is a superior filter IMO,flow would be better also with the EAO, usually syn filters flow well by design but not always.

i don't use Mobil 1 filters there's better out there IMO for that kind of money, very long extended drains i'd go EAO or any Full Synthetic filter RP,FG,UPF.

No.

The Mobil 1 filter uses a cellulose/fiberglass blend media.

The Amsoil uses a fiberglass media.

The Mobil 1 is a very good filter, but if you want something like the Amsoil head for the Donaldson synthetic, Fleetguard Stratapore, or Royal Purple (identical to the former Delco Ultraguard).
