Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 observations

If the "Canadian Tire," "Canada's Store," "Proudly Canadian since 1922," and the British Columbia address didn't give it away, you figured it out.
I read it so fast I did not see it. Lol. Went right to the price. I saw no point in squinting to read the rest of it LOL.

Of course, if we want to pay Canadian prices, we just go to Autozone or Advance Auto in the States.

Not, it's not a miracle. It's the difference between a stuck ring pack and reduced compression and freed rings that seal better. I'm not sure why this is so hard to understand. Valvoline Restore and Protect is the only oil I've used where after one oil drain interval you could FEEL the difference.
I can vouch for this. Bought a 16 Odyssey last fall with 140k miles and immediately dumped the oil and replaced with Valvoline Restore and Protect. Not really much changed over the last few months until we made an 11 hour trip from MO to TN and back. I noticed one day at a stop light it felt like the engine wasn't running. There was no micro shutter or anything. It was idling so smoothly that I thought it quit on me. I'm curious what the oil and filter will look like when I change it in a couple months.

Careful there Dude. The eggsperts here will insist it's placebo affect all in your head. 🤣
Of course, they won't get up out of their easy chair and drive your car so they can all go flush a toilet or something.

What is "micro shutter"?

What makes people say MB229.5x and A40 are better than C30…?
Except for the LSPI feature, C30 exceeds them all.

Logically as said before, those fearing LSPI should look for MB229.52.
So the ideal recipe is likely: 0W-30 Porsche C30 + MB229.52.

Ironically that is what am running right now before switching to Mobil 1 ESP at the end of spring.

- All porsche approvals seem to not care about LSPI for the 30 and 40 oil weights (not even the C20) and maybe leveraged that to Vollswagen Group for the 20 weight as part of VW508/509.

Really? Misused spider charts given as evidence that an approval starting point (ACEA Sequence) is superior to a manufacturer approval?

You have no idea what you’re doing here. Spider charts like that are not absolute values, they are areas of emphasis between iterations of a license, specification or approval. Your post means exactly nothing.

these charts might not be absolute truth but they give a pretty clear overview of what people in lubrizol who do the additive packs blending and testing see.
