Mobil 1 AFE or Vavoline Synpower

I'm using M1 AFE 0w-30 right now and have no issues with it at all. However, I wouldn't hesitate to put Valvoline SynPower in my vehicle. Add to it that you're getting a great deal and it becomes a no-brainer. SynPower puts up some great UOAs, so get the Valvoline and use it with confidence. And don't worry about it not lasting, it will easily go the 5k miles you're asking of it

+2. Very good oil that doesn't get the respect it deserves around here.

Ok, I`m going to shoot myself in the foot here.......But neither does Royal Purple.

okay, but it is not the same. synpower is spec'ed to go into a ton of cars. royal purple is not. i might try royal purple or amsoil after my warranty is up, but not while my warranty is good.

I`v used RP in the past (before I was a member here) and it seemed like a good oil to me. BUT, for the price it has jumped to now..forget it. Not when I can get PU,and MB-1 alot cheaper, and does just as good.

Using M1 0w30 in the Honda now. It's my favorite oil for this engine.
