still high compared to what you will see as miles increase. Nice UOA all the same.

A nice report, your engine is not anywhere near using up this oil during 5k miles. BTW, I'm probably starting to sound like a broken record on this, but you don't need to stick to 5k for warranty purposes, especially where you've got hard evidence that the oil is holding up. Toyota could never prove that your decision to use M1 longer than 5k caused an engine problem, which is what they'd have to do. Now, if you're changing at 5k for your own mental comfor, that's fine, but you're NOT required to do so.

Is your 'trix an auto or manual? If it's an auto, you might want to keep an eye on the ATF too. This car has a rep for cooking ATF fast.

Thanks for the interesting UOA.

Nice report! I've done several UOA's on my Pontiac Vibe and the 1ZZ engine always produced good numbers.

As stated, the auto transmissions in these cars run very dirty and very hot. Mine had turned the fluid black by 30k miles. Consider adding an external cooler. There is also no filter in the pan so you need to either add an external filter or remove the drain plug and refill at regular intervals. I've ben using Amsoil ATF in mine with great results so far.

There is creative bookkeeping.

Thanks to all for the comments. This Matrix is a manual and thus far it's a great little car that is surprisingly fun to drive. The Toyotas do seem to like Mobil 1. I'm running the 10W30 in both my supercharged Camry and my '91 Toyota pickup with the 22R-E. The pickup is nearing the end of a 10K OCI, by the way, after which it will get some of the "new" Mobil 1 5W40.
