Off and on I add MMO to my fuel. 4 OZ every tank. Am I wasting money. I must add, it gives me the warm and fuzzies...
Then you're not wasting moneyit gives me the warm and fuzzies
That's why most of us here do what we do......for the warm and fuzziesOff and on I add MMO to my fuel. 4 OZ every tank. Am I wasting money. I must add, it gives me the warm and fuzzies...
If you think that there are any benefits to this practice, you're wasting your money. However, if it gives you the warm and fuzzies, then it's worth every penny.Off and on I add MMO to my fuel. 4 OZ every tank. Am I wasting money. I must add, it gives me the warm and fuzzies...
Nope! I just 2 weeks ago,had my tank dropped, and spark plugs replaced.been using tcw3 ,valvoline, from napa. 1oz per 5 gallons.have 18 gallon tank.waited till fill needle was quarter mostly. Some tanks I did 1 1/2 oz,making 6 odd per tank.like 3-4 timed.15 tanks on 4 odd tcw3.Halloween night, car sputtered n turned off.numerous times. Towed. Mechanic gas station said their was some kinda oil in tank.spark plugs fouled n oiled.up. $550 job. Do not use tcw3 oil in gas..maybe diesel, yeah.I think TC-W3 would be better?
Interesting that an oil specifically designed to mix with gasoline at 40:1 didn't at 640:1.Nope! I use either Techron or Gumout at every oil change. If these engines benefited so much from such an inexpensive product the major gas companies would add it to their gasoline and maybe they do. Just buy top tier fuel and don't add anything. If anything throw in a can of Chevron Techron fuel additive.
LiquiMoly Pro-Line Fuel System Cleaner and RedLine SI-1 will clean your fuel system, and you only have to run them once in a while - either one of these, not both. Gasoline already has detergents, and it's a solvent to some degree. No need to waste money on fancy additivesI use either Techron or Gumout at every oil change.
I agree with Top Tier gas it's not needed, certainly not in every tank. But I do use it in a used car after using B12 or Techron to complete any cleaning. It's not the most effective but it is cheaper in many respects than other additives, and it is an effective mild FI cleaner. It also is very useful in power equipment where the pricey cleaners you mentioned are overkill......LiquiMoly Pro-Line Fuel System Cleaner and RedLine SI-1 will clean your fuel system, and you only have to run them once in a while - either one of these, not both.
