You can only still buy Hilti from Hilti here. I've had a TE22 hammer drill forever. I'll never forget my father telling me he paid Au$750.00 for a Hilti hammer drill way back in 1982 (I was still in school) when a tradesman was probably only on $250 a week and it paid for itself in one job.
It's a real shame if they are bocoming just like the others.

they have a factory in China and a lot of their gear is now made there. I have a 1/2" chuck Makita drill assembled in the PRC.

My employers paid about $2500 for the TE72 back in '80 or so.. it was a good drill, far better than the Skil Roto-Hammer it replaced.
