Since Walmart has had bay boxes of this oil out on the retail shelves lately, I tried it in my OM617. The right column was T5 10w30, under slightly harder usage because I was driving the car more on that OCI vs. my wife on this one. :p

While some points look better, concerning a normal OCI it looks like they performed about equal or slightly better toward the Rotella?

The blanked out column is my other 617 that Blackstone is confusing with this car and included the stats from its UOA.

These engines are not picky. They can go really far on even a cheap dino 15W40 as long as the oil is changed often. You own some fantastic cars! Are they automatics or 4 or 5 speed manuals?

I have two of the turbo/auto's, and one N/A 4-speed. Always keeping my eye out for a 5-speed to pop up!

Wow thats some low mileage on that 300D. My old one had 375k before the odometer stopped working. Always used 20w-50. Adjust the valves, battle some vaccum leaks and keep driving.

Pretty much! IMHO 20w50 is excessively thick for these engines now that oil tech is what it is - lots of them ran on it back in the day, but with UOA's like this on 30 and 40 weights, why burden the motor with extra viscosity and heat retention. This is my lowest mileage one - wifey's wagon has 247K and, on the one UOA I ran in it (Schaeffer's 5w40) it returned something like 23 ppm iron. :O
