McDonalds Coffee

I mainly get it on road trips because it's 99 cents with the app. It's alright but can be inconsistent. Sometimes too burnt / gritty; other times, watered down.

It's not my first choice, but it's frequently better than QT or other C-stores.

I usually just make a thermos full of Sumatra for the day and carry it with me in the car.

But, if I need a coffee (and to recycle the previous cup) I know a McD's is a consistent decent, but not stellar choice.

Wow I always use the App and never saw that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always get just the senior (small) for 87 cents. You made my day sir!!

McDonald's coffee is on par with a Starbucks or Caribou columbian or similar medium roast. Since they offer only one variety, you can't compare a dark or blonde roast to it, as it's not the same. But it is and always has been a very solid choice. I take mine plain, no creamers or sweeteners.

Dear Mom made food well.
She knew the "F" word....and that word is flavor. Many have never heard of it.
She told me to start the day with coffee if you like -she mixed and ground store-bought beans daily- but make it count; then drink no more.

A good-to-excellent cup of coffee out, has been a rarity in my life and only in real restaurants.
65% of the time, it's weak. This is purposely done so the remaining coffee in the pot doesn't scorch. I get that.
35% of the time, it's powdered pencil lead in battery acid.
This is done for the cigarette smokers, and everyone else, who've killed their taste buds. Nobody gets this.

Wait what?
I'm a senior at 57?
No, just reaching middle age. ;)

Whenever Sheetz went from the pots to the automated machines it went downhill fast.
When we visited NW Pa in June I discovered the automated single-serving coffee makers at Sheetz. Took a minute to understand how it worked, disappointed with the coffee.

I’m about your age literally. I was looking for my AARP card, and it says member since 2000? Really. It’s not good for anything at all.

Been a while since I had McDonald’s coffee but I thought it was good. And I’m not a connoisseur.

Btw was at McDonald’s yesterday and no free soft drink refills by machine at that location. I heard it was coming but first time I’ve seen it.

Yes their coffee is good. They just lowered their everyday price here in Alberta to $1small, $1.25 med, $1.50 large, $1.75 xtra large.
Not sure if its all of Canada though.

I do find that their cups leak at the rim lately. Of course I dont notice until there is a huge pool of it in my car cup holder.
