Title says it all. How long should one of these Motorcraft filters be good considering roughly 50/50 in town and highway. Climate is typical midwestern.

??????????????? what
This is great to know. I was going to do 6k OCI with my PP fill, but now I just might stretchhhh it a little longer. I guess the New England winters and the other three seasons might hold me back from doing so.

Any ideas?
How much annual mileage? Can we assume a consistent daily drive that distributes the mileage relatively evenly between urban and highway ..and season to season?
I would guess you could go up to a max of 1 year/12K with the MC filter and PP. But without an OLM I would follow the manufacture recommendations or keep it under 6 months/6K.
IMO, they are ~ 5k filter. Son has used them pretty much exclusively on his Explorer. I cut one open in December on his last OCI, and it is very well made. His OLM is consistent at ~5k.
It's not a P1, not with a rated efficiency of 80%. Though I have to say by looking at, it looks closer to Classic efficiency.
I suppose you could stretch the 820 to ~6k, but @ $3.67 at Wally, not much point IMO.

Why not? I don't want to do anything more than I have to. It cuts into elective toil. If I want to change oil and filters for elective time expenditures, I've got plenty of people in the extended family fleet.
