The dash in our boat has faded a lot and I think of refinishing it. It is red/brown burlwood, flat oval piece about 1/4 inch thick. I think there is a synthetic woodgrain on a aluminum backing plate.
Any ideas where to find either synthetic woodgrain material or any other ways to make this piece look like new. The manufacturer does not carry the part any more so I have to do something myself.
