M1 HM 10w-40 not ACEA A3?

This came up before not too long ago. Mobil says it still meets the spec they just stop putting it on the bottles.

It's not an ILSAC oil, not designed to be. Not energy conserving and has "too much" ZDDP.

Yeah I doubt they would pay to actually have it certified. It's not a big seller.

OK, I wasnt finding that info searching on my iphone.

Seems kind of dumb though. They are paying for the printing/color/ink/sticker regardless. Oils generally love to list the specs they meet... Why wouldnt they want to show that they meet A3? The 10w-30 5qt bottle lists it!
