I was at Walmart last week and the same result. Ended up with EP 5W20 in my wife’s 19 Pilot. It seems not too care.
I much prefer the high PAO content of the non-HM version.get mobil 1 EP 0w20 HM? not like it hurts anything to run it over Non-HM.
Per the latest MSDS.0w-20 ep is 60-70% pao still?
Just a suggestion and my opinion of course. Castrol Edge 0W20 Extended Performance has the MB229.71 approval while Mobil 1 EP does not. Going with an oil with approvals that goes through stringent testings is much meaningful vs what is on the SDS sheets is what I have learnt on this forum.I much prefer the high PAO content of the non-HM version.
That to my knowledge is the only Castrol retail product that carries MB229.71 approval, whereas the only Mobil oil that has MB-Approval 229.71 is ESP 0W20, Mobil 1 EP is only .8% ash to my knowledge with the mostly PAO composition and that it's been engineered for drain intervals up to 20,000mi, I wonder what really keeps it from being MB229.71 other than Mobil wanting you to fork out more cash for a Euro specific oil.Just a suggestion and my opinion of course.
