M1 EP 0W-20 Shortage?

get mobil 1 EP 0w20 HM? not like it hurts anything to run it over Non-HM.

Rebate doesnt work with amazon.

Also if you have paypal many got a 10$ off 50$ offer for a walmart order.
and if you pay with paypal use your discover IT card for 5% cashback this quarter

made it (52-10)-5%=40 -30mir= 10$ for 2 jugs.

Yep I have noticed. Went to get some oil for moms Camry the other day and planned to get the Mobil 1 but they were completely out of Mobil 1 0W-20. Actually they were out of all 0W-20 besides Royal Purple and Castrol Edge and Quaker State so we went with the Edge. When we go to Walmart I always check the automotive and tool isle and all of them around here are out as well. And have been for a few weeks.

the HM is still 30-40% pao, not the 60-70% of reg though.

IIRC in 5w30 the EP HM flavor has more PAO than the regular EP
edit:

The 5w30 EP has been MIA for months here. so I bought 5w30 EP HM

The HM is 20-30% for 5w30, non-hm is 15-30%

My local WM stores are not low on any Mobil products. My local Meijer stores not only have an abundance of Mobil products but also have a $10-$15 in store rebate depending on whether you but vanilla or EP.

I normally use 0W-20 M1 EP (Toyotas here) and according to Brickseek only one of the closest 20 Walmarts has any. (DFW area)

AutoZone and friends have plenty for about $12 more per jug but I was trying to do the Mobil rebate.

This is the 5w30

I much prefer the high PAO content of the non-HM version.
Just a suggestion and my opinion of course. Castrol Edge 0W20 Extended Performance has the MB229.71 approval while Mobil 1 EP does not. Going with an oil with approvals that goes through stringent testings is much meaningful vs what is on the SDS sheets is what I have learnt on this forum.

That to my knowledge is the only Castrol retail product that carries MB229.71 approval, whereas the only Mobil oil that has MB-Approval 229.71 is ESP 0W20, Mobil 1 EP is only .8% ash to my knowledge with the mostly PAO composition and that it's been engineered for drain intervals up to 20,000mi, I wonder what really keeps it from being MB229.71 other than Mobil wanting you to fork out more cash for a Euro specific oil.
