M1 Annual Protection?

Wondered the same thing - you can find special versions of M1 like Formula M and ESP on Amazon at elevated prices for select applications - but trying to go full scale with AP and Walmart at high price point never felt right.
Two huge companies left to figure this out ...

I picked up a 5qt jug of 0w20 AP. AFE was right next to it for $28. It is a tough sell at $49. Hopefully the AP oil is as robust as claimed. Of note, AP seems to be selling at the Walmarts near me.

Autozone has the AP oils for $17qt and $70 for the jug. LOLOL.

I am currently running the 5w-20 AP in my JGC and currently have 5000 miles on it. I will be doing a UOA on it once I reach 10000 since I was towing 6000lbs across country for 2800 miles. So far I have to add 1 qt of make up oil because of the towing.

Funny thing is that "Classic Coke" sales were huge after the old formula was reintroduced.
Some people think that New Coke was a sacrificial lamb intended to generate new interest in the original product, which the company itself denies.
New Coke was basically Pepsi, and I preferred both to the original Coke at that time. I like Coke better than Pepsi now, don't appreciate oversweet drinks as an old guy.

So, does AP exist just to boost sales of the rest of the M1 line?
