I don't have anything that uses 0W-20. I will be buying a new vehicle in the next 2 years. (I prefer Toyota, Honda, and Nissan in that order.) Should I stock up on this M1? Do many newer vehicles use this weight?

Thanks!

Eh, depends. Probably not. You'll only save a few bucks and the oil will sit there for 2-3 years.....

Hondas has been using xW-20 oils for a while. Toyota is recommending the same for some of the new 08 and 09 cars.

I would get a reasonable amount. $3/qt is better than BOGO price.

BTW, who is selling M1 for $3?

Nice price for M1 0w-20... send it my way.

I wouldn't stock up on oil for a car I don't own yet. I'd put that money towards the new car first, or perhaps baby the current car a little.

You could always mix it with a 10W30 or something thicker to get what you need.

Not all Toyotas use 5w-20 or 0w-20.

Unless you have the vehicle, I would not buy that oil. Most engines that spec a 20wt can run with a 30w so I'd be more inclined to stock up on 5w30.

Not all engines that spec a 30wt can (or should) run a 20wt... (esp when you add in warranty)

Take care, Bill

I just got Penz. Plat 5w20 for $1.50/qt (no limit) - sale is for today only. I don't have time to tell you which major Auto parts chain I got it from right now - try to get back online later and give you the details.
