The reason why I ask is that I'm treating tanks of gas in a Gal's car that I know.

More consistency;

Tank 4: 31.2mpg, the car is running great!

Only got .5 decrease, which was surprising because much more city driving and some spirited driving as well.

Back up to 31.2mpg on the 6th tank. The numbers have been consistent w/ the exception of the very first tank. I will no doubt keep using the MMO. Before the MMO, the car would average around 29.5mpg on a regular basis, w/ the MMO right around 31.

I have to say I'm happy with this, again the car only has the 3spd auto and has 156K miles. A/C is always on.

I am thinking about trying MMO. Question: when calculating MPG while using MMO, does everyone take into account the amount of MMo added to the tank? In other words, MPG = Miles / (Gallons of gas + MMO)

Do not need to. By adding 4 oz of MMO, I am displacing 4 oz of gasoline, ie less gas fits in the tank.

I would not even know how to calculate 4 ounces out of 128 ounces which is a gallon, so too an answer your question, just like the above post, you do not need too.

Took apart a carb on a 12hp B&S today that was treated with MMO over the last couple weeks. Previously I couldn't clean all the varnish and junk that had accumulated from setting for 3 years. Today I was able clean it right off with just a rag... good stuff. Also used it on my door locks on the Ranger that doesn't want to work for month at a time. We'll see how it works over the long term.

OK a VOA on the MMO stuff came back and the results are not good in my mind.

I don't mean to put MMO down because as you can see from above I'm quite a fan, but there are some harmful chemicals in the sample that would cause catalytic converter damage if used for a prolonged period of time.

I don't want to discuss specifics but encourage you to do a VOA and see for yourself.

I know a few members on here have used it for quite a while without seeing any ill results so far and I too like what I have seen from my engine with it added to the fuel, but it IMO it is not a good idea to be adding to the fuel as a UCL.

Added to the oil should be fine so long as you aren't burning oil, but in the fuel IMO from the numbers and the chemicals used I would have to steer clear of continued use.

So with that said I'm I might go with a TCW3 and a fuel system cleaner that contains PEA to do an occasional cleaning.

Too bad, I was really starting to like the stuff.

You ought to own the UOA/VOA if you paid for it. It is generally the "reading" that is proprietary.

I partially paid into it so it is a multi-owner situation with Terry footing most of the bill for it. So I would imagine he gets prime vote.

Take my word though... Not good as a UCL. Read into that what you will.
