Starting to use MMO in fuel

Just driving the car helped. The engine loves long runs not short trips. It's all carb related but I have never replaced it and the dealer blew me off for everything. Im really surprised that this dealer never went out of business as they never had a good reputation. They sold Pontiac/Honda(s). The car is still not perfect today but much better than it ever was when it was new. I have posted a picture. Of the 4 Camaro's/Firebirds I have owned in my life, they were all &*^*(74, 77, 79 & 80). That was the day!

I've been lucky with my car purchases over the years, but there are lemons out there for sure. Ford had to buy a van back from me once for an intermittent stalling issue they could not resolve. I love Fords, but the way the dealer handled my problem ended up costing him big time. They had over $14,000 in warranty repairs, for a van that cost about $15,000 new. I had patience and wore them down slowly until I got what I wanted, a new van. It took me close to a year but I won.

Funny thing was once Ford corporate finally caught wind it was quite easy for me. The dealer was the [censored] in all of it. I remember the day FMC corporate called me and asked me what I wanted to resolve the issue the dealer couldn't resolve. I said all my money back, or a new van, plus the cost of the customizing I did. I got the van and a check for almost $5,000, not too bad. I also got red carpet treatment from the day I took delivery of the replacement van.

MMO is practically Lucas UCL, except that MMO actually has cleaning agents in it. It's the way to go between the two products.

For those telling you MMO doesn't clean, they are wrong. Look up the data sheets and see for yourself.

Soap cleans. Does that mean if I see it on a product sheet that product will clean my fuel system?

I add a bit less than recommended 4 oz/10 gal, roughly about 3.75oz/10 gal. Overdosing will reduce MPGs. How much did you add? Once the gas in the tank is treated, add enough MMO for the REFILL amount, not a full tank.
I started using MMO as an UCL and fuel line lubricant, gain in MPG is a nice bonus.

Who, what???? What are you talking about??? I am not hiding any facts, I am posting what I HAVE EXPERIENCED. Placebo effect??? More like several years of the Excel MPG spreadsheets.

I still use MMO, but I have been using 2 cycle super tech oil with tcw3, at 1 oz to 5 gallons of gas, it does the same thing as MMO. U can check it out on Ls1.com

Who knows? Give it a shot, suggestion, try Dawn, they use it at the oil spill.

I'm a little bit concerned about 02 sensors and catalitic converters. How about hearing from those who have had issues? Not to create a scare!

I have been using MMO in my gas at every fill-up for almost a year now. I have had absolutely no catalytic convertor problems and no O2 problems either. I also use MMO in my oil, no problems there at all.

MMO won't hurt your car. It won't harm your engine or any of its emissions components. I researched for a long time before I began using MMO and I never found any evidence of MMO damaging an engine. MMO helps my truck run better and get better MPG. It works for me and that's why I use it.

No issues to report, sorry. 1988 E-150 has seen MMO via in Inverse oiler since almost new. I disconnected the oiler a little over a year ago IIRC and have been feeding it through the gas tank instead. I'll probably hook it up again when the weather cools off.

1993 Aerostar now approaching 190,000 miles. Has seen MMO in just about every tank of gas since I bouught it with 50,000 miles. Original CC and O2 sensor on it. Runs like a champ. Both pass NYS sniffer test with flying colors.

I did change the O2 Sensor on the E-150 more of a maint item than anything else.

If anyone lost an O2 sensor or CC due to MMO I'd love to hear about it too.

I've been using it for over a year now, no issues at all! I'm with the others who say I've never heard of/seen any issues from using MMO in the oil or fuel. Great product IMO.

MMO score... I bought 2 full quarts at a yard sale for .25 each. Then 2 weeks later I went to an estate sale and bought a gallon 2/3ds full for $2 . I am testing it in my 4.0 Ranger that I just changed plugs , cleaned the maf sensor and cleaned the dpfe sensor tubes and sensor because of a check engine light. The light has been off for 2 weeks . i read that Ford dpfe do not fail , they get moist and dirty.clean them .
Final verdict is that my truck has not run this way since I bought it at 21000 miles. It now has 64000. I am using mmo in every one of my 5 cars, 3 mowers ,2 outboards, 4 pressure washers , 2 chain saws , 4 weed wackers, and every engine I own. I like the 30% solvent cleaning abilities as well as the ucl from the 5wt light mineral oil. enough said.

Sounds good, great score BTW! Glad it is working for you, wait till that Michigan winter, you'll really love the MMO.

Scooooooore!!

I have used it in the past and really have had some decent mileage gains in some and none in others.I have also used lucas ,krex, b-g and acetone . All of them have their day. MMO is just a cheap option now.
My 1 corolla just passed 285000 miles and my other 205000. I am using custom ( I.E. leftover ) oil mixes with delo 15-40 mixed with 5w20 or 30. It seems to burn less and stay clean longer especially with the oem filters I use.
The MMO is sometimes used to thin the oil out before a change or to keep the fuel pump lubed as well as cleaning the entire fuel system.
I have added a half quart in the last 1000 miles of an oil change to clean the 205000 mile motor and did notice how heavy the filter felt even after draining it for a day. I am sure it will clean a dirty engine, just use common sense. Those 30% solvents are plenty when mixed 1-8 of oil. I think a quart in a 5 quart sump is too much unless you have a sludge motor.
I am no car expert ,but I have been working on them for 40 years. I just go with what my gut tells me and my cars tell me I am right.

It doesn't say soap, smarty pants. Look up the MSDS for yourself. MMO is great in fuel. Lubes your fuel pump and keeps the injectors lubed and clean.

The only thing I know that has been shown to clean well in the fuel is PEA. MMO contains none. Is there any evidence that the cleaners contained in MMO will clean anything within a fuel system?

I have seen nothing to suggest such would be true. Again, I'm on my 2nd gallon being used it 2 cars. Nothing but negative effects so far.

Sorry to hear that, many have seen positive results. Try TCW3 see if that helps, or play around with the dose. Try cutting it back a bit, first, then increase it. Or stop altogether if you're not happy with it.

+1, not saying it's impossible, seriously just curious.
