It has been answered on the MMO forum several times that MMO does not have ZDDP - it does however have Phosphorous, but no Zinc as the phosphorous is not in the form of ZDDP (ZDDP had not been invented yet when the MMO formulation was created)

BTW - I have contributed to the total known composition of MMO several times - does that get me on "the list"?

I'd include you on the list, that is if StevieC says it's OK.

How 'bout it Stevie?

Not from what they state on their forum and on the bottles - Rich Kelly, the MMO technical director has stated several times that it is the "original formula" dating back as far back as they have records (1950's or so) since the company has changed hands several times.

Thanks for approving me on "the list"

IIRC Rich Kelly told me they had the formula dating back to the 70's, and believe it was not changed. Prior to that the original owners of MMO had a fire, so the formula records only go back to the 70's. I could be wrong, the conversation I had with Rich Kelly was about a year ago. It is safe to say the formula hasn't changed in a long time, the Turtle Wax people haven't changed it. The product is tested and they're certain it is harmless to the engine and cat converter.

BTW-I've made that list too

Just filled up again today, consistent results so far. This is for the 2000 Corolla which only has a 3spd auto. Mixed driving.

Tank 1: 28.05

Tank 2: 31.8

Tank 3: 31.0

Still liking the MMO!

I can Log Onto BITOG from my computer, so I am back, I cannot believe people are attacking DEMARPAINT who has used MMO since the 1970's. This product flat out works and Demarpaint turned me onto MMO and I have turned others onto this product.

My small block chevy has 372,000 miles and on the 3rd tank of MMO in there the puff of smoke on startup stopped, and it has not come back. My carburetor is running flawlessly, and when I go too start the car it starts right away, just like a brand new car.

On the 2nd tank of gas in my Marauder I noticed a difference.

I can say from my own results that what these people are saying is true:

1) ADFI
2) Demarpaint
3) StevieC
4) panthermike

If I have left anyone out I am sorry.

There are too many positive posts about MMO for any naysers here too say we are not telling the truth.

Fuel Injected cars need a maintenance dose of MMO because if there is any carbon or grit that gets in the fuel injectors you can have problems, replacing fuel injectors is not cheap.

The military has been using this product since the 1940's.

Carroll Shelby uses this product too. I am betting there is a lot of guys on this board who are using MMO in there gas and oil but they don't have the guts too say anything because they are afraid they will get slammed.

I can tell you why panthermike is getting better gas mileage, MMO is lubing everything in his fuel system and keeping things clean, which means his spark plugs are staying clean so he is getting better combustion.

If this product is being sold at Wal-Mart then you know it is selling like crazy, Wal-Mart does not put a product on the shelf too collect dust.

I say too the naysers, show me a post on the internet where MMO has caused harm too someone's engine when they used it in there oil or gas tank. I am gleefully waiting for the posts about any problems with using MMO.

I agree with you.

Off topic, but I cant believe Carroll Shelby sold out to Zmax.

I did not know that Carroll Shelby sold out to Zmax. I think there was some race car driver who was promoting Prolong.

I remember when Ken Stabler was promoting some oil, I think it was Pennzoil, those were the days when oil came in a metal can, he threw the can of oil 50 yards.
