Oh yes, I include that in my MPG calculations. For the tire size change, I cover more distance per rotation. After 300 miles, I can add an additional six miles from what my OD says.

On stock tires, when my speedometer would say 65 for example, GPS and road-side radar would tell me 1mph lower. With the new tires, its usually exactly the same, sometimes the speedo reading 1mph less. I should track the ODO exactly with my GPS and see what results of it. Is a GPS *that* accurate though over large distances?

The longer the distance, the more accurate the GPS will be for odometer type measurements.

For me, Fp+ from Lubecontrol wins on the tailpipe cleanings...Mine was spotless on paper towel after 5 months..MMO leaves some black..

You want a clean tailpipe, get a rag and some degreaser lol. I am not going to fault a product for doing something its not marketed as doing, or in this case cleaning your tail pipe :p.

I noticed the same thing with MMO cleaning up the tail pipe. Seems like a good side effect if you ask me. It appears others have noticed it too.

If it's cleaning up the tail pipe imagine what it's doing to the Catalytic Converter(s) Must be spotless inside at those temperatures I'm sure.

I noticed the tail pipe clean up too. But what makes it more impressive is on a stop and go short trip vehicle. A highway driven vehicle that is running properly usually has a pretty clean exhaust, its the short hoppers that the clean up is most impressive in.

I am just finishing up my first tank with MMO... I must say, so far I am really impressed.

My gas light has JUST come on at 330 miles... One of the best I have recorded in a very long time, if not *the* best. I have another 20-30 miles back home before I fill up which will put me at, or over 360 miles to my tank... Never have I got that before. Light is usually on at 280-300 and filled up at around 320.

I drive a 2008 xB, 22-28 EPA mileage in which I have been averaging 27-28 lately (28-29 last summer before my new wheels). If I can get 30 or better on this tank I will be *very* happy. I just hope it will continue and was not a fluke!

My driving during this period has been 70% freeway, 20% city and 10% traffic jams if I had to guess. No real changes to my driving habit. I have *always* used Shell gas since I got the car, so I would assume the injectors and other internal chambers are not too dirty...

Don't want to rule it a success just yet, but so far, this tank is showing great results. If I can repeat these numbers, MMO will be continuously in my gas tank for a long, long time.

*thumbs up*

It should be... I found that I needed more (recommended amount on bottle) in the beginning to keep seeing the mileage I was, then the mileages started to fall a bit. This is when I started experimenting with the dosage and found that 1/2 the amount was better for me.

It could be that I needed the full amount to saturate the fuel filter and clean/lubricate the fuel system and then I just needed a maintenance dose to keep the system at peak levels.

Play with it before you give it the full YAY/NAY, but I could almost guarantee if you get the dosage right for your application you will continue to see improved mileage as I'm seeing.

It certainly is a mystery, but glad I have found it!

P.s. Are you seeing the silky smooth engine with superb quietness at Hot-Idle yet?

I plan to do another full-dose at my next fill up, then cut it down a bit to see how it trends. But so far, so good.

My engine has been really quiet all-around without MMO, but it seems to have hushed a tad more. Even with AC on the idle is really good with minimal vibration (as noticed by my GPS vibrating on the windshield at idle).

Pleased so far, but I will track the next few tanks to give my full "YAY/NAY"!

I agree. play around in my (1) car 4oz per 10g is nice and another after 3oz it drops.

I just filled up and my mileage turned out to be 29.77 MPG, which is great! Just to compare, my last recorded MPGs ranged from 27-28.5 at most.

I hope it stays that high!

I just started the 2000 Corolla on the MMO, I used 4oz. this time. The tank is 13 gallons, usually only 10 or so to fill up. I think 3oz for continuous use will be good, does that seem reasonable?

Thanks for your response, I know you now have extensive experience with MMO

All of the positive feedback has got me intrigued and I need this little car to last me a long time.

I'll also report back w/ mileage numbers.

You have me thinking of trying this in my DI Speed 6. Wonder if it will clean up the theoretically fowled intake manifold, EGR, PCV, exhaust valves, etc or if it will make the overall lubrication worse as the oil dilutes with fuel. Cant really see it doing that given it being more lubricating than fuel itself.

PS I have used this in my EVO when I was mixing my own race fuel, Toluene at 114 AKI to pump 93.5 or pump 91. Cant say I noticed anything in the performance from the MMO, but wasnt looking for that as much as knock from addtl boost.

The makers of MMO will tell you that if you want to do a combustion chamber cleaning that something like Regane would do a better job. If it is a top oil you're after with some cleaning properties, or a product that will keep the combustion chamber clean and lubed after a cleaner is used MMO is the ticket. HTH

Ok, this weekend I want to add MMO to the crankcase of my GF's 97 Camry 4 cyl as I'm changing the oil in about 1,000 miles.

It takes 3.8 Qts oil.

Should I add a Pint, or how much less?

A follow-up!

I put a Pint of MMO in the 3.8 Qt sump and 1.5 ounces of MMO in 6 gallons left in the tank. She ran the tank close to empty.

I also brought the tire pressure up from ~30 psi to 38 psi.

She said she is using 1 gallon less gas in a tank. So, she puts in about 10 gallons, so that is about a 10% increase in gas mileage.

She also said enthusiastically it has a lot more power, especially from a stop. She said it used to start off slow from a stop, now it is way more peppier!

Glad to hear of your positive experience! Coming from a big MMO fan, I can tell you adding the 8 psi of air is a big help in terms of MPG. However having said that, adding the air isn't going to give your GF more power and a peppier car though! Seems MMO is gaining respect here, and I for one am glad to hear it.

I think experimenting with the dose is the way to go, some cars run better with less than the suggested dose. For those first time users of MMO in the gas, try a little experimenting to get the proper dose.
