Lube Control or ARX w/Redline

Just want to get straightened out here. I have Lube Control and Auto-Rx. I plan to do the full ARX treatment after my next OCI in the Xterra using dino. I will probably switch back to RedLine after the ARX is complete so I would like to know which would be best for maintenance. I have heard that ARX and RL's esters don't get along too well and also that RL does not need LC. I feel the need to do alittle cleaning along the way as this engine probably gets dirtier than I realize, even with the RL. Also what is favored for use with Schaeffer's? I plan to run the #703 in my Maxima. Thanks.

How many miles on the engine? What kind of oil change intervals? How many miles have you been running Redline?

The esters in both products "get along" fine, but with AutoRx in dino, there is less friendly competition for metal surfaces.

"Redline doesn't need LC" - I guess it depends on WHY you would want LC in the first place. I think you are correct if you plan on doing relatively short OCI's.

I don't know what Schaefer's #703 is so I can't speak to that.

Will probably stick to the current OCI until the numbers get better. I'm sure this will be the case after the ARX and some Fuel Power.

I have the Lube Control because of the purchase of Fuel Power. This was an introductory order so both products were sent. BTW, Odis Beaver is a super guy to talk with. Down to earth, very helpful, and knows what he is talking about.

Schaeffers #703 is their 7000 synthetic blend 10w30 motor oil. Has received some great reviews.

Yes OK sorry I do remember the UOA. I would do a straight double (hi-mile) AutoRx treatment. Then a 5K interval, if this doesn't work - try a different oil.

why would you then put Redline in or Amsoil or
Mobil or Schaefer's Oil. Than add another additive package on top of any of these fine
oil's ? Oil additive packages are designed to work
with manufactures oil ( who ever you use ) and
when you add another petrolueum additive to the mix, your changing oil company's specifications.
I hope you put serious thought on this step Auto-Rx is not in the oil business and don't care what oil you use. Be an informed consumer "Pablo" is unbiased and his comments stand up.

shortyb use 3 ounces of Auto-Rx with every oil change it will keep your oil of choice clean and perform to the max of it;s ability.

Thank you Frank. This is what I need to know. Yes I am trying to be as informed as possible before I go and mess something up. I have read where others have used a maintenece dose of Auto-Rx but didn't know if this was more for dino or if it would benefit synthetic as well. I suppose I will do just the 25K clean-up if the 3oz. maintenance dose is not needed.
