Losing interest in firearms?

I'm the opposite. As I've gotten older I've pretty much lost interest in automobiles, I used to be in halfers with a friend on a small collection. We sold out.

I got into firearms late. I have a Beretta 96 that I absolutely love. I swapped in a d hammer spring a few weeks ago and now I could shoot it all day, multiple days a week. I also joined a shooting club last weekend that is very laid back and usually not too crowded. I discovered the pleasure of shooting steel at this club. I'd gladly buy another 96 when the time is right. .40 s&w ammo isn't all that expensive, especially if you buy it from Smoky mountain knife works out of Tennessee. Go to their "site busters" for the deals on ammo.

I get it though. I still work on cars for a living, but I don't care to ever own anymore hot rods or classic cars. I lost all interest in anything to do with them, and at one point in time they were a source of pleasure.
